Datti the Skier Girl - Kay Bojesen
Datti the Skier Girl - Kay Bojesen
We are delighted to welcome Boje the boy skier.
Boje the Skier was first produced by Kay Bojesen in the 1940s as part of a small series of two skiers, one female and one mare. Boje the Skier was named after Kay Bjoesen's son Otto, whose nickname was Boje. The female skier Datti was named after Kay Bojesen's daughter-in-law Ruth known as Datti.
Both skiers are characterised by Kay Bojesen's happy, humorous style and are always ready for a trip to the ski slopes of Norway.
Material: The skier is made of beech wood and is hand painted with great care.

Please note that solid wood cannot tolerate direct sunlight or direct heat, e.g. from a wood-burning stove or being position too close to a radiator. This could discolour and dry out the wood, causing cracks.
