It is time! Time to close down Spektakulär online, and it has taken us a long time to come to this conclusion, probably too long if you ask me!
Sadly as with some good things in life, they do sometimes come to an end. And for us to move on we need to say goodbye. And this time it is a proper goodbye. New job career, girls growing up, a longing for a slower life and countryside air makes us realise we need to let go.
We have held on to it way too long and my love for an online business was never there. It will never be the same as the lovely little shop in Holy Corner, Edinburgh. I miss the shop, not all of it, that would be a lie. Running your own business comes with a lot of stress and responsibilities, but wow have I picked up a lot of useful skills along the way. You constantly educate yourself. You learn so much new things you had no idea you needed to know. You become every job role in a business and you have to be creative to keep it going. You meet the most talented and kind people and you become part of a network of amazing and different communities. So yes I am so pleased to have had Spektakulär in my life.
But what I will miss the most is YOU, thank you for being part of Spektakulär. For the amazing chats and love for this independent Scandi store, both when we had the physical shops (Spektakulär and Lilla) and by continuing to shop online once we closed the doors on Colinton Road in 2021. Tack så jättemycket ❤️
June will be our last month of trading and I have dropped the prices quite dramatically on all our reaming designs. Please help me clear our warehouse. Great opportunity to get those wedding gifts, new housewarming gifts, birthday gifts, new job gifts, just because gifts and my personal favourite, those treats to you and your home.
Please note that there will be a longer shipping time during this month. I will spend my evenings packing orders and I am so grateful for your support.
