Oh yes, the Royal Mail has kicked off their planned strike of 19 days during October, November and yes even into December. And yup, it is October break time here in Edinburgh and we will time some time off and enjoy a long weekend in Sweden to see family which means that the warehouse will close.
Royal Mail Strike dates are as follows!
Please note, every date is not a completely closed day, some days are delivery and some dates are the sorting offices and so on, you can find out more on the Royal Mail website
Will this affect your order? Most likely is my answer, there will be delays along the way so please be patient and please do order early.
What are we doing? We are posting your orders as normal, our local post office here in Edinburgh will remain open as normal and process your orders as normal.
Are you wondering why we are using Royal Mail? Because we believe in local communities hence why we support our local post office. We really do not want to lose more post offices.
Please remember, we have had delays before, during 2020 most sorting offices had to shut some weeks due to Covid and that was a record year for Royal Mail. And I was reminded the other day that it was the same last year as we still had quite a lot of Covid around at the run up to Christmas.
If you are in a rush and wants your parcel asap, then get in touch with us as they will apparently prioritise Special Delivery parcels.

October Break! Oh yes, we will take a short break and head home to Sweden to see family for a long weekend. This means that the online is open as normal but we will close the warehouse for a few days. Anything ordered between 19th - 24th October will be shipped on Tuesday 25th once we are back.
