And in a blink of an eye, we are now in the middle of summer 2023. I don't even understand how that happened! I am actually surprised that I am surprised, I mean it happens every year 🙄
My sister is over from Sweden at the moment to hang with my girls and today dentist is on their list. I am off to work where we are super busy planning an event. But so much fun!
So what is happening here at Spektakulär this summer, well let me tell you! We are as per tradition heading home for a couple of weeks. So prepare yourself for jumping in the lake kind of pictures as well as beautiful shop inspo. Love visiting small independent shops back home as that is how we want our shop to be like.
This means we will close the warehouse between
Wednesday 19th July - Thursday 3rd August
You can still place orders but nothing will be shipped until the 4th of August. But if you are on the hunt for wedding gifts, birthday gifts, new baby gifts, party gifts (any kind of party), and new house gifts, I suggest you get those orders in before we head home.
This weekend we have been busy organising our warehouse, trying to save costs we have now downsized to one unit instead of two. Hard but rewarding work. We have sadly also started to car hunt as our trusty Volvo will not pass the next MOT. When the driver's door handle comes off and there is a hole in the floor, it is time. However I hate car shopping, I feel like I will be 100% tricked. And yesterday we got told that all the prices are set centrally at the moment, now this means we can not even try to haggle. We drove past a promising garage, but then three very scary men stepped out and looked at us, so I put my foot down and drove off, not making eye contact. They were probably lovely and would not trick me, but I think buying a new car is just faff and weird and my mind wanders off in all different imaginary places.
As we live in a big city we do not really need a car, the money we save on road tax, insurance etc will pay for home deliveries, car hire if we are off elsewhere over a weekend, but it is so comfortable to have a car. We have an idea of what we would like and will keep an eye out during the next few weeks.
